Why donate
Pounced.org is run by volunteers and is provided for free to the community. But like any website, it costs money to keep pounced up and going. Our hosting costs alone exceed 1400$ a year, not to mention other miscellaneous costs, such as domain registration, food for volunteers, etc.
This year alone we will exceed 2000$ to pay for server upgrades.
What are donations used for?
We will use your donations to cover:
- Hosting costs
- Domain registration costs
- Legal fees
- Food and supplies for volunteers
We may also use the funds to try to organize a party or table at one of the major furry cons.
Don't you make enough off of the current advertisements?
We currently offer paid ads on each page, but unfortunately
they don't net nearly enough income to pay for monthly hosting costs. |
