Let's see, I've been in furry for about 12 years now. First convention was Anthrocon '99. Over the years I've attended a number of other conventions including Midwest FurFest, Eurofurence, Furry Connection North, and FurFright. I've gone to a few anime cons (Otakon and Anime Central) and a few science fiction conventions (ConClave, Confluence, and MarCon). Somewhere in there I started working cons, and now am a staff member in one role or another at a number of those conventions. I am also a member of the Dorsai Irregulars, who congoers might recognize as the folks with the black berets who work security at Anthrocon and other conventions. Why do I work so many cons? I dunno. Maybe it's in my genes.
During the day, I am a software engineer who likes working with technology, playing with technology, and making technology do cool things. I tend to read sites like YCombinator and Stack Overflow, and enjoy reading blogs like Consumerist. I like to read, a lot. Sometimes I'm just browsing Wikipedia, but I like to read paper books as well. For non-fiction, I like to read the social sciences like Freakonomics and Outliers. For fiction books, I enjoy anything from Stephen King or science fiction, like Asimov, Heinlein, or Clarke.
Yeah, I'm a bit of a nerd. Both my lifestyle and my sense of humor.
Qualities I value in a life partner:
