I haven't updated this in a while, so here's the quick and dirty version of what makes Nauta, Nauta:

- I've been a furry since I was a teenager. Since I'm 32, this means I've been in the fandom a very long time. I've been to my share of conventions, but they're not the most important thing to spend money on these days. I went to MFF last year for the first time since 2008.

- I take photographs of everything. Not just "almost everything", EVERYTHING. I always have a camera on me, and it's not some cheap snappy or cell phone camera. I have an SLR for trips and more important things, and an underwater camera for, well, underwater. I *AM* a dolphin, after all...!

- On that note - spirituality/therianthropy, Nauta isn't simply a character to play online and write stories about; I'm a dolphin spiritually. Whether or not you believe in this sort of thing, all I ask is that you respect it. Nobody has to tell me I'm right or wrong. If that's not acceptable to you, then we should go our separate ways.

- I travel more than anyone else I know whose job isn't to travel. Mine isn't; right now I work contract at a bank doing mortgage review, which pays well enough. It gives me time off when I feel the itch to roam someplace. So far last year I visited 14 states, drove through 13 of them, and this year I spent almost a month in Australia and attended Furry Down Under in late April. Best time of my life! =)

- I'm a technology nerd like so many, but I find most of my interest lies in older tech that most people have forgotten. Until recently, I used to use almost exclusively outdated (read: cheap) laptops and cell phones, until both my income and my interests matured enough to actually get somewhat more current stuff. I have an affinity for older Apple products but am by no means an Apple fanboy. I do, however, own about 30 computers, most of which were made before the year 2000.

- I also own a laser disc player and about 250 laser discs. Oh, and at least that many Hot Wheels and other model cars. They're all hanging on my wall in the packages. XD

- Cars, yes, I do love cars. Working on, driving (most of my trips are road trips), working on, photographing, working on... uh. Did I mention I drive a Fiat X1/9? (It's actually been quite reliable!)

- Other passions of mine include coffee (specifically mochas), foreign music, spicy food, and role-playing.

- I'm a very friendly, social and energetic person most of the time. I'll make a good effort to get along with anyone as long as they're at least TRYING to be social. If someone's belligerent towards myself or my friends, though, I have little tolerance for such things.
