 Description

My name is Steve Sandell, AKA " The BassMan" ("Bass" pronounced like the fish, or the British ale)

My main fursona's name is Maynard Von Schnauzer. I am 28, live in Southeast Iowa (When not on the road), and without a mate, I must admit I am lonely and my occupation of being a carnival game vendor is probably my biggest obstacle towards finding a mate right now. I am an Eagle Scout and quite Christian so don't expect any foul play, etc.

Inside the fandom, I've been known to do artwork, stories, and some amateur pod-casting and video making. Roleplaying, I mainly do on Second Life (Maynard Schmooz, a wolf), but have been known to pop up on IMVU (BassManSTS, a raccoon) and Furcadia (BassMan, formerly BassMan the II, a schnauzer) from time to time. On Furcadia, I've mostly been known for when I used to run the Furcadian Wrestling Federation from 1999-2007.

Outside the fandom, I'm mostly known for my profession as a carnival barker. I have been traveling with the carnivals since 2003 and must admit that I am addicted to it! It is because of this job that I probably have more friends on the road than I do at home or possibly even here on the web. The main things I like about my job are the different people I meet everywhere I go, the many friends I have made out here, and being able to entertain people as I work. It makes the money I earn a lot more rewarding!

My favorite hobbies (other than furry fandom of course) are fishing, singing karaoke, and shooting billiards. I am also quite fan of pro wrestling (Yes I know it's fixed, but hey, it's damn entertaining!) as well as a sports fan, especially of the Chicago Cubs and Iowa Hawkeyes. Other things I have quite a bit of interest in include Highlander, Star Wars (to an extent, Episodes I-III weren't so great), Family Guy, Robot Chicken, 80's rock, classic rock, oldies, and just about any movie with Morgan Freeman in it.

To me, an ideal mate must have a decent sense of humor (Even better if you can take a joke from time to time as I love to joke!), not mind a traveler (Even better if you don't mind traveling with me *wink*), and an open enough mind to at least tolerate what I'm into, even you aren't. Sizewise, height is really no issue, whether you're taller or shorter than me (though I must admit, I've only met like 2 or 3 women on this planet who are actually taller than me). As for weight, let's just say there's no weight minimum and I don't mind a little meat on the bones as long as the size doesn't look like a safety hazard. As for age range, I'm mainly looking between 19 and 32, but am open-minded enough to go older in some cases.

Also, I'm not going to lie about this! I am a smoker (my only real addiction), occasional drinker, and a pothead. I do not depend on the pot or alcohol though. In a mate, I do not ask for you to be into any of those 3 habits, but it's always cool if you can at least tolerate them.

I'll be working the bottle-up game at the NEW Nebraska State Fair in Grand Island through Labor Day Weekend, then back to Michigan to work the machine gun for a month.

Interesting facts about me:

- I was actually born on Halloween

- My first official job, back when I was 17, was working as a press box gopher for the Burlington Bees Minor League Baseball team in Burlington, IA. Sometimes, I also got to stand in as their mascot "Buzz." I am also the tallest person to play Buzz (being 6'2") and the only guy that has worn both versions 1 and 2 of that costume! Other mascots I've played in the past include Tony the Tiger, Vince & Larry (Crash test dummies), and Mr. Shucks (Version 1) of the Cedar Rapids Kernals!

- I was diagnosed with autism, yet after I learned what it really is, I have been able to capitolize on it's mental capabilities, therefore I do not consider it a handicap or disability by any means!

- I stand at 6'2" and weigh near 160 lbs. This ties me with 2 of my cousins as the "family giant"
