Welcome to pounced.org! 4.2
Pounced.org version 4.2 includes a few small feature updates. We now have in-site messaging (see the Inbox link to your left?). Better formatting for advertisements, and tagging.
In-site messaging
Now when you respond to an ad or get a response to your ad, we will keep a copy of the message and stick it into your inbox, no more worrying about missing messages!
Better Advertisement Formating
You can now use the following HTML tags in your advertisements:
h1, h2, h3, h4, h5, i, b, ul, li, u
Tagging
We now supporting tagging your self with various interest, allowing you to define custom keywords. So for example let's say your interested in fursuits and skiing.
In your profile you would enter those tags in the tag field, separating them with commas, like so:
"fursuits, skiing"
Then when you view your advertisement, these tags will show up there and allow yourself and other users to jump between ads with similar tags.

If your interested in making a donation to help support the site you can follow the donation link on the main page.

Welcome to pounced.org! 4.0
Pounced.org version 4.0 is mostly focused on look and feel and software/server updates. But there are a few exciting features that have been added. The ad statistics page has undergone a major update and how images work with ads has been improved. To learn more click here: PouncedOrg4
Updated advertisement stats page
The advertisement stats page has been updated to include details about which ads are similar to the one your viewing and a breakdown of the profile of users who are viewing the ad in question.
You can see your ad stats by clicking the graph icon next to your ad on the main page or by clicking the '(show ad stats)' when you view an ad.
Updated look and feel
We have updated the general look and feel, including a new landing page, and ad viewing pages.
Better image support for advertisements
We now support larger images on advertisements, along with better image handling support in general.
Linking to images in advertisements
If you specify a link to an image in your advertisement, such as:
http://pounced.org/pictures/header-hyena.png
would end up looking like so:
It will be expanded and shown in your advertisement.

New Ad Statistics Reporting Page
Try out the new ad statistics page!
You can get to it from the main page by clicking on
Stats on my ad or when you view an individual ad by clicking on the (show ad stats) link at the bottom of the page.
To see statistics on your ad you'll need to have it enabled.

The site is now limited to users who are 18 and older.
We have decided to restrict usage of pounced.org to users who are 18 and older. You will not be able to register an account unless you are over 18 years of age nor will you be able to login to you are existing account if your not yet 18 years of age. Our terms of service have changed accordingly.
I am under 18 years of age, what will happen to my account?
Your account will become locked until your age is 18 years of age, at which time your account will work again. (At the moment because we only capture your birth year and month, we will not allow you to login until the month after your birth month).
Does this mean that pounced.org will now allow adult images?
Our terms of service regarding the content of the site has not changed. We do not allow adult images.
Why did this happen?
It was a hard decision, there were many factors, the primary of which were:
* Safety of underage users.
* Current trends regarding social networking sites.
What about users who mis-represent their age?
If you see an advertisement in which the user says they are younger then 18 years of age, please notify our administrators and we will disable the account. |

Welcome to our second beta release of pounced.org 3.0

- Fixed a bug with distance related searching
- Fixed a DB corruption bug
- Fixed a bug which prevented users in other countries from showing up on the map.
- Fixed a HTML formating bug
- Fixed a bug which prevented users on the map in highly concentrated areas from showing up.
